Turning Wooster Voice into Data #2

My study of the Wooster Voice would track authors and their contribution by major.

The question we dicuss in our small group center around what type of article we each looked at when exploring the Voice archives. One of my partner in my small group look at the covering of global new and local news and when there were mention in the Voice throughtout the year. My initals reaction to when I read this article is I wanted to explore the coverage of Mens and Womens sport based of there success. Some interesting question the were brought up was student loyality to the author. Also how would global news and the current status of the world would effect the production of the Wooster Voice at the time.

My dataset and spreedsheet woud most likeys search the Voice archives for articles containing recurring author names through The Wooster voice throughtout the years. The column I would have would be author, major class year and current year. This is just tracking the representing of which major gets more coverage based on there major. The column of keywords would be informational, student org based and sports.

To protect the privacy of everyone involved, no personal information beyond each participant’s name and class year will be shared or included in this project. Details such as contact information, living arrangements, personal history, or other identifying information will not be recorded or disclosed. This information is limited to what is necessary for the assignment, and any additional context provided by participants will be kept confidential. The only personal concern that I have with this is I wouldn’t want the author that got represent more getting any hate directed towards them.
